Jane McGrath, M.D., is the Director of Envision NM. She is a Pediatrician, and the Chief of Adolescent Medicine at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. Dr. McGrath is the founder of Envision New Mexico, which was created in 2004. Dr. McGrath is a long-time advocate for and provider in School-based Health Centers (SBHCs) and is currently the medical director for our SBHC Clinical Program which operates six SBHCs in the Albuquerque Public Schools. Dr. McGrath has been very involved in recent efforts to transform the healthcare system in New Mexico. A long- time resident of New Mexico, Dr. McGrath was formerly the School Health Officer for the New Mexico Department of Health and spent many years visiting rural school districts and helping develop school health policy for the state. Dr. McGrath is a past president of the National Assembly for School Based Healthcare and former member of the American Academy of Pediatrics Committee on School Health. Dr. McGrath is a graduate of Prescott College and received her medical training at the University of New Mexico.
